If you are a skeptic about whether or not RSTools steals/transmits your password and think the below files are edited, I encourage you to view the files yourself by following the directions below:

  1. Close Firefox
  2. Locate your profile folder, default is C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[Profile] under Windows XP, where [User] is your computer user name and [Profile] is the folder where ther last part matches your profile name.
  3. Open the "extensions" folder
  4. Open the "RSTools@githlar.net" folder
  5. Open the "chrome" folder
  6. Rename RSTools.jar to RSTools.zip
  7. Inside that .zip file, you will see all of the source files that run RSTools.
  8. Don't forget rename RSTools.zip back to RSTools.jar
  9. You can now re-open Firefox.
