Having problems figuring out how to use the RSTools World Changer?
Hopefully this document will help. |
Basic Usage:
|
From
the get-go you have two options for how to switch worlds:
- Click one of the Best World buttons for a quick world
change
- Manually enter a world number in the "World" textbox
and then click the "Open" or "Change" button.
|
Options:
|
| Memory: |
- "High Memory" (default): Run RuneScape®
in high detail mode
- "Low Detail": Run RuneScape® in low
detail mode for slower computers.
By
default, "High Memory" is selected. If you need to run
RuneScape®
in low memory mode, select the "Low Memory" radio button. This setting
will be remembered for future world changing. |
| Open How? |
- Replace Tab (default): If there is another
RuneScape® game window open, reload that tab with the new world.
- New Tab: Open a new RuneScape® game
window in a new tab
If the "Replace Tab" option is selected and there are no other
RuneScape® windows open, the RSTools World Switcher will open a
new game window in a new tab. |

| FAQ: |
| Q1: |
When I use the World Changer, the
page loads, but the game window is gray/white. Why? |
| A1: |
This
is probably a symptom of using the wrong Java type. You can change the
Java type the RSTools World Changer uses to load the game windows by
changing the "Java Preference" in the Preferences dialog. |
