Show Button in Fullscreen Mode: |
This option turns the button that can be seen in fullscreen mode on or off. By default, the fullscreen button is shown. The reason for this is to support those with 800x600 or lower screen resolutions that must play RuneScape in fullscreen mode. If, for some reason, you don't want that button to show up in fullscreen mode, just uncheck this box. |
Show Toolbar Under RuneScape Applet: |
This option will enable or disable the display of the QuickBar below the RuneScape game window. The QuickBar gives you even faster access to the most used featues of RSTools - the Calculators, World Changer, and Notepad. This option is enabled by default. |
Block All RuneScape Ads: |
RSTools has the capability to block all ads from the RuneScape website.
The reason this is added is that it may help those with slower
connections speeds. It is not recommended to turn this option on unless
it is really necessary. This is for two reasons:

Enable Autofocusing of RuneScape applet: |
Have
you ever been switching between tabs while playing RuneScape and go to
type something and it opens the QuickFind box and makes that annoying
noise and you have to close that box, click the RuneScape applet and
start typing over again? I know this was a major headache for me, so I
got the idea to add autofocusing to my extension. By default, RSTools will automatically focus the RuneScape applet when you switch to a tab containing a game window. Focusing is what happens when you click the mouse on the applet - the applet gets the focus. That is why Jagex still has the new/existing user option at the start of the RuneScape applet, to get you to click the applet to give it focus. When focused, all the keyboard input is applied to the applet. NOTE: I think I have found the reason why autofocusing has stopped working for me. I believe it has to do with new Sun Java versions. I don't know the technical reasons, but I believe that is the problem. So, autofocusing may not work for you if you have a recent version of Sun Java. I will find a way to fix it soon. |
Java Preference: |
This is generally an option that you don't need to mess with. The only reason you might want to change it is if you have to select another Java type on the Detail Select page of the RuneScape website. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you probably don't need to change this option. The part of the RSTools extension that uses this option is the World Changer. The World Changer uses this preference in order to take you to the right world with the right detail and the correct Java version (otherwise you might see just a white/gray box where the RuneScape applet should be). I probably should have put this in the World Changer, but I wanted to keep that as clutter-free as possible. Most users will not need to change this anyway. |
